Our Mission & Vision
Honor Guardianship Services Inc. was founded in 2010 by Brendan and Maria Gould. Since then, HGS has grown to serve over 500 people in the State of New Mexico through our various programs. We pride ourselves on providing the highest quality of guardianship services for the most underserved people in our state.
Our mission is to provide individualized advocacy and to substantially improve the quality of life of the Protected People we serve. We guide individuals and assure them honor and dignity while protecting their personal rights.
At HGS, we respect the Protected People we serve and treat them honorably. We hold ourselves to the highest possible standards of conduct to build and preserve relationships with our clients and community members.
We value the input of every person that is important and influential in the Protected Person's life.
Services
Probate Guardianship
A probate guardian is a person
who has the legal authority (and the corresponding duty) to care for the personal and property interests of another person, called a protected person.
Treatment Guardianship
Treatment guardianship is a limited form of guardianship in which the guardian appointed by the court is given authority to make decisions about psychiatric treatment only.
Consultation
Consultation services are conducted by one of our skilled and experienced guardianship coordinators.
V.A. Fiduciary
A V.A. fiduciary is assigned when a veteran with benefits has been deemed incapacitated and unable to handle their own finances.
